Pin Up Calendar Update!
The calendar is being printed as we speak and we will probably be able to start sending them out next week.
We’re so sorry for the extra printing time.
We had some problems partly because we simply couldn’t get as many pre-orders as we expected.
So we were debating for a while what to do, neither of us have a lot of money and we’re funding this out of our own pockets, plus printing in Sweden is hella expensive.
What we finally decided to do was limit the print run from 200 to only a 100. This means that this is now basically a non-profit project.
Margins are really close but we’re okay with that because this was a fun personal project to do and we are thankful for everyone that would like to have our art on their wall. ^o^) <3
Ps. all pre-orders made before February will receive an original lil’ bonus “thank you” drawing from us both.

Pin-Up Calendar [February] - Jill Valentine
A Heroine Pin-Up calendar collaboration I made together with KICHISU

The theme for this one is of course Valentine’s day! Jill was the first girl I knew I wanted to draw and there was no question what month suited her best. ;)
One of the things I knew I immediately wanted in the picture was her as cupid with a “love-bazooka”. Because I drew her as cupid she is of course nude, which makes this image the most “daring” of all my contributions to the calendar. I apologize to any sensitive viewers of my blog.
I censored it a little in the end with a red ribbon, as red-ribbons are a common valentines day theme in a lot of Japanese valentine’s day art . (just check pixiv). I tried to make this as light hearted and “airy” as possible. The pose was “stolen” from an old Playboy playmate (Miss June 1974; Sandy Johnson).I did the whole of it (even the thumbnail sketch) in Photoshop with a mix of the standard paint brushes.

Concept art for my latest project; Illustrating for Aivi & Surasshu’s album release.
They are two fantastic musicians! I’m so honored to be asked to work with them!! and their album is turning out awesome, I’m sure you will all love it too.
I’m trying to go back a bit to my roots (Belgian comics) with this project, as you might see? Concepts/style are not set in stone yet,I might still make some changes but I hope you like it so far. :)
I’ll keep posting some sneak peaks as we go.
Last image looks a bit bare, that’s because I erased a lot of writing on that one, don’t want you to get any spoilers ;)

Pin-Up CALENDAR PROJECT: January - Maetel // Galaxy Express 999
I have a confession to make… I have never read GE999 nor seen the anime.. except for Space Symphony Maetel couple of years ago.
Why did I pick her? I’m a fan of Leiji Matsumoto’s artstyle, everytime any subject about his works comes up/or the talk about Daft Punk’s Interstella 5555I always mention “I think he draws the most beautiful/prettiest women” usually my friends chuckle when I say that but that is my opinion! C:
I think Maetel is beautiful, she will always be an inspiration to me when it comes to creating/drawing female characters.This was bit tough! It was a battle between her or Emeraldas.. but since I had the month January I thought Maetel would fit better for the theme! I decided to use traditional medium for this piece , I wanted that classic “old” manga look to it, and I followed bit the way Leiji Matsumoto illustrates.——-
Each month me and Diana are going to post previews+wips of the calendar and write information about each piece. I hope you guys will enjoy these posts! C:Ppppst…

I actually replied to this same question some time ago, but I don’t mind answering this again. I didn’t really start drawing more than the average person until I was around 18-19. I’m 31 now and have had some years where I didn’t draw much at all, so I guess on and off for about 12 years. :)

They will be printed in January and all pre-orders sent as soon as we get them.
We have pushed the prices as super low as we can on shipping and handling, (especially low for the pre-orders!) because this is a fun project and we’d really love for you all to be able to get one if you want to.

I’m not much into pin-up themed art but this calender consists of some really beautiful, well thought through and tasteful Pin-Up drawings of women from the anime/manga and game culture! I really like how these pin-ups are diverse, show personality and yet look sexy. Since there is no calender-part you can reuse it and easily frame or use separate months as posters!
The best part is that these are drawn by two of my favorite artists and friends kichisu and sstrawberri!
If you like their art this is the perfect opportunity to get professionally printed A3-sized art from them to put on your wall. :)

Haytham doodles.
Finished Assassins Creed 3 a couple of weeks ago. Felt it was an okay game, loved Haytham tho. Come to think of it it’s been a long time since I liked a character in a game this much! He is awesome but hard to draw for me. This was my first try and the first (the realistic looking one) doesn’t really look like him at all! ah well ^x^;

and I’m FINALLY done with all deadlines for 2012!! Working on those while simultaneously doing some home remodelling has been the reason for the scarce updates for late November & December. Sorry about that. I’ll do better now that I actually have time to draw again. <3
