I reverted back to my old one from 2011 (it’s still my favourite because of the ease to use and navigate). I hope you don’t mind and please let me know if something is broken in any browser/resolution. I might also make a new background to fit better with the design.

I drew Queans awesome character “Messy Head”
I just LOVE her art and character design.

I started inking this with the wrong pen (non waterproof) so this image had a few problems along the way XD;;
it’s been a lot of fun to do more non digital art lately, especially since I have a new watercolour friendly moleskine, good practice for me since I don’t have much experience with watercolour. Too bad my scanner is horribad at scanning colour work, so I need to photograph my art….this one is actually taken with my mobile phone ^^;

It is my turn to post! For the month May I chose the “damsel in distress” Princess Peach since spring colours go well with her character and her colours. I really like Peach in the Smash Bros Series, wish I could see some of that “badass” attitude in future games?

Pin-Up Calendar [April] - Vampire Princess Miyu

A Heroine Pin-Up calendar collaboration I made together with KICHISU

Anyone remember this OVA? It meant so much to me at the time, and is still one of my favourites.
(I never saw the TV series though, because I thought the design work was not to my taste and it seemed it had lost most of it’s “dark mood”).

As soon as we decided that April was going be a month that was “mine” I was set on making something with cherry blossoms. I think this one is the picture that ended up closest to my original idea/thumbnail sketch, and painting went really smoothly. A little blending was done in SAI, and the rest in Photoshop.

I hope you will like it!

WOW! I know I keep saying it everywhere but I am truly humbled by all the kind words about my work with the comic/illustrations for “The Black Box”. Made it real easy to fill up on energy for the continuation which I am working on right now. ALSO Hi ALL new followers!!

it’s super fun. I did my original characters and myself (see my new icon)

The first trailer to the new album by the excellent Aivi & Surasshu!

So to quote from Surasshu’s post yesterday:
“Today marks the reveal of the album me and Aivi Tran have been working on for nearly a year!”

We really wanted to go all out on the art, using a Belgian comic aesthetic to tell a story related to the music. ”

Pin Up Calendar Update!
The calendar is being printed as we speak and we will probably be able to start sending them out next week.
We’re so sorry for the extra printing time.
We had some problems partly because we simply couldn’t get as many pre-orders as we expected.

So we were debating for a while what to do, neither of us have a lot of money and we’re funding this out of our own pockets, plus printing in Sweden is hella expensive.
What we finally decided to do was limit the print run from 200 to only a 100. This means that this is now basically a non-profit project.
Margins are really close but we’re okay with that because this was a fun personal project to do and we are thankful for everyone that would like to have our art on their wall. ^o^) <3

Ps. all pre-orders made before February will receive an original lil’ bonus “thank you” drawing from us both.

The theme for this one is of course Valentine’s day! Jill was the first girl I knew I wanted to draw and there was no question what month suited her best. ;)
One of the things I knew I immediately wanted in the picture was her as cupid with a “love-bazooka”. Because I drew her as cupid she is of course nude, which makes this image the most “daring” of all my contributions to the calendar. I apologize to any sensitive viewers of my blog.

I censored it a little in the end with a red ribbon, as red-ribbons are a common valentines day theme in a lot of Japanese valentine’s day art . (just check pixiv). I tried to make this as light hearted and “airy” as possible. The pose was “stolen” from an old Playboy playmate (Miss June 1974; Sandy Johnson).

I did the whole of it (even the thumbnail sketch) in Photoshop with a mix of the standard paint brushes.
I hope you like it!

Concept art for my latest project; Illustrating for Aivi & Surasshu’s album release.
They are two fantastic musicians! I’m so honored to be asked to work with them!! and their album is turning out awesome, I’m sure you will all love it too.

I’m trying to go back a bit to my roots (Belgian comics) with this project, as you might see? Concepts/style are not set in stone yet,I might still make some changes but I hope you like it so far. :)
I’ll keep posting some sneak peaks as we go.

Last image looks a bit bare, that’s because I erased a lot of writing on that one, don’t want you to get any spoilers ;)
